Through a new commercial airing during MBS and TBS’ “Super Animeism” transmission block and which lasted a few seconds, Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal anime was announced. It revealed that the anime based on the cult video game Legend of Mana will debut on Saturday, 8th October 2022 at 1:25 am (October 7 at 25:25 hours). The announcement came from Square Enix and Warner Bros. Japan with the premiere scheduled during the Super Animeism programming block on MBS, TBS, and their affiliates.

Warner Bros also released a teaser commercial video to make the announcement.
The animated series was announced a year ago to commemorate 30 years of the Square Enix videogame franchise by the name Legend of Mana.
Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal will debut on 7 October, officially confirmed in a very short teaser trailer. It previews some frames taken from the series. In the original Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal game, the male protagonist is Shiloh while the female protagonist is Serafina. In the anime, the two will be voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki and Saori Hayami.

The anime will be produced by Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab. They are the two animation studios that had earlier collaborated on the opening footage of the remastered version of the Legend of Mana video game.
Other staff includes Masato Jinbo as director, Taro Ikegami as character designer based on HACCAN’s original subjects, and Yoko Shimomura as music composer. The opening theme “Tear of Will” is sung by Serafinaand Saori Hayami.
