Attack on Titan Season 4 Till Now

*Spoilers Ahead*

Attack on Titan Part 1 ended with the Marleyan invasion with Reiner and Colt arriving as Pieck places Eren in the perfect spot for an ambush. Eren transforms into a titan and dares Reiner to come down and fight him. The final battle begins when the Colossal Titan first bashed down the walls and let the titans in – Shiganshina District.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 sees the rise of the Jaegerists and the death of a few more characters. Eren and Zeke revisit Eren’s memories and see Grisha’s fall to Eren’s will. The powers of the Attack Titan are revealed to Zeke who still believes he is in control until Eren makes the Founder Ymir go against the Will of the Royal Blood and stand up for herself.

Eren succeeds and triggers the Rumbling, breaking free millions of Titans in the walls while turning into the Founder himself. Annie breaks free from her hardened shell and rejoins Mikasa, Jean, and Armin. Hange tends to a wounded Levi. Pieck and Magath from the Marleyan Army join them as they move to stop Eren’s destruction.

As of the latest episode, Episode 87 of the entire series, the survey corps make their first trip to the Marley in disguise. Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 28 is titled Dawn of Humanity. The episode takes us down memory lane and covers some of Eren’s memories in the 4-year gap when Paradise Island prepares to confront the world.

The memories of Eren show the group celebrating in Marley, his memories with Historia, and conversations with Zeke about the future of the world, the curse of the Elidans, and their father, Grisha. The Rumbling has reached the shores of other nations and combined military forces seem to be no match for the sea of colossal titans. Eren’s Rumbling is ready to wipe out the world.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Release Date

The final episode of Part 2 came with the announcement of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3’s release and a short trailer marking the end of the rumbling. The 2023 release year has not been marked with a date or a specific anime season either. Estimating the number of projects MAPPA currently has at hand, Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 may arrive in Spring 2023/ Summer 2023!

The last episode of the season adapted Chapter 130 of the manga, leaving the animation till Chapter 139.5 up to Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3, which would cover the last 9.5 chapters of the manga. The AOT finale is expected to resume from Chapter 131, Rumbling, which illustrates the titans’ fury and the launch of the action against Eren.

MAPPA is currently animating one chapter per episode, which would be interesting for Part 3. The remaining chapters could be made into a 10-episode series that could conclude Attack on Titan.

The actual advantage of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 is that the remaining chapters could fit efficiently without rushing or skipping parts. There are rumors that MAPPA may add or change the ending of Attack on Titan which would essentially mean that the series could also add another 12 episodes or build more on the epilogue.

Being one of the biggest anime releases of the 2010s, Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 will definitely get a Crunchyroll release along with an English Dub shortly after. The broadcast schedule for Japanese TV will be released a few months before the actual premiere date.
