The spectacular anime series is back! Golden Kamuy Season 4 has been announced and the trailer is already out! The third season of Golden Kamuy was released in October 2020 and the manga for the series too entered its final arc in July 2021.
The manga series for Golden Kamuy is written and illustrated by Satoru Nada and falls into the genres of adventure and history with elements of a Western. The manga was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump Magazine in 2014. The manga currently has 26 tankonbon volumes and also has an anime adaptation. The anime is rated 7.84/10 on My Anime List. While Viz does not seem to have the digital version of the manga, the physical volumes are available for purchase.

What is Golden Kamuy About?
Golden Kamuy takes place in Hokkaido, Japan in the 1900s after the Russo-Japanese war. A veteran and now former soldier, Saichi Sugimoto is given the title ‘Immortal’ owing to his feats in war. At the end of this turmoil, Saichi is out to find gold to keep his promise to his best friend who passed in battle. He gave his word to support his family and help his wife who was slowly losing her eyesight.
One day he learns the story of a man who killed a group of Ainu and stole their fortune and hid it in Hokkaido before his arrest. The only clue to this location is an obscure map that is left behind by this man in the form of tattoos on the bodies of prison inmates. Saichi only comes to believe this tale when he finds the corpse of one of these men. This man was killed by a bear, that now attacks Saichi but is saved by a young girl named Aspira who has prodigal hunting skills and is the daughter of one of the dead Ainu. The two set out on a mutual mission to discover the hidden treasure.
Are there Golden Kamuy Season 4 spoilers?
Season 3 of Golden Kamuy ends with the Return to Karafuto Arc which ends with episode 36 of the anime. The group sets to find a doctor to treat Tsukishima and Ogata’s wounds as they depart from Akou. Golden Kamuy Season 4 will open with episode 37 of the overall series and will start the return to Hokkaido Arc. The manga adaptation for Season 3 ended with Chapter 200, partially adapting Chapters 199 and 200 in the last bit of the season.
The return to Hokkaido Arc will begin with the group leaving the Karafuko village and stopping to do some shopping before their journey continues. In what seemed to be an ambush, Saichi had a feeling that they were being watched from afar. Shiraishi heads to look for Sugimoto but is suddenly shot. The threat around them begins to manifest as the group realizes they really are not alone.
Each season of Golden Kamuy is only about the length of one cour, that is around 13 episodes. The manga is currently on Chapter 298 and is in its final Arc. With over a hundred chapters to adapt, there is still a possibility of Golden Kamuy Season 5 as well.
When will Golden Kamuy Season 4 release?
Golden Kamuy Season 4 has only gotten an announcement video so far. The release date for the anime is still a matter of guessing at this point. It would be fair to expect a mid-2022 release if the anime is already in production. Crunchyroll and Funimation have streamed the previous seasons of the anime and have also included an English Dub for the series.
Season 4 is also expected to land on these streaming platforms (Crunchyroll) before they come to any other platforms like Netflix. The best possible release window is Summer 2022 at the moment.
Golden Kamuy Season 4 release date confirmed
After months of hiatus due to the death of one of the members of the Brain Base animation team, it is confirmed when the Golden Kamuy anime makes a comeback.
Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 1 will air on April 3, 2023, as published on the official website. The broadcast will start from the first of the season’s chapters, thus making it a full-fledged spring 2023 anime. Broadcast will be done every Monday starting from 3rd April on the following channels

How many episodes will this Golden Kamuy 4 have?Â
Though it is not official but it is expected to have 13 episodes. The 4th season of the TV anime had been temporarily suspended from the 43rd episode onwards. It will start broadcasting again from the 37th episode (the 1st episode of the 4th season) in April 2023. The latest episodes will be telecast from May end or June beginning.
Who will be part of the Golden Kamuy Season 4 cast?
A new anime studio will be working on Golden Kamuy Season 4. Brain’s Base Studio is taking over production and Shizutaka Sugahara is the chief director. Takumi Yamakawa is in-charge of character designs and Noboru Takagi is the script supervisor. The main cast of the anime is expected to return for Season 4 of Golden Kamuy:
