Hitohito Tadano is an average guy who is basically a wallflower and wants to have a peaceful life, away from attention. As fate would have it, he is seated beside Komi and thus becomes the point of the school’s envy.

In a chance encounter. he realizes that Komi is not stoic, intimidating, and unapproachable as people think she is. They equate her to a God and make her the school’s idol. Tadano is an awkward and kind person who figures Komi out. Komi has extreme social anxiety and struggles to communicate with people around her.

Awkwardly stumbling through the beginning of their friendship, Tadano promises Komi to help her make a hundred friends. Through her first year in school, Komi gets better at approaching people and gradually makes more friends. Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 ends with their first year in high school.
