What is The Daily Life of the Immortal King About?

The Daily Life of the Immortal King is a slice of life, comedy, a fantasy tale about Wang Ling, who achieves a near-immortal status achieving a new realm every year. At 16, he decides to attend high school and live a rather quite low-key life where he wants to attract a minimal amount of attention. Unfortunately, things don’t quite work out that way.

IN his newly found high-school life, he is presented with one challenge after another and his attempts to keep out of the spotlight backfires often, creating comical and troublesome situations for Wang Ling. True to the high-school genre, Wang Ling gains company that he values and appreciates. Wang Ling also falls in love with Sun Rong and grows to want to protect her.

The adaptation of the novel is going to be a tedious task, as the novel easily exceeds 1800 chapters. A single season covering 12 episodes is unlikely to cover more than one or two arcs after the end of Season 1. The first season saw Wang Ling stumble into dangerous waters after almost trying to create an entirely another world. His relationship with Sun Rong is also set to develop further.

The second season is meant to build more on the consequences of season one and see Wang Ling try to balance his immortality and powers while trying to live the life of a high-schooler.

When will The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2 release on Netflix?

The first season of the anime had a 15-episode run where each episode ran for 17-20 minutes. The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2 has already been confirmed and is expected to release on October 30th 2021 in China. The international release of the dongua however is a bit more uncertain.

The first season was produced by Bilibili and the second season is also expected to follow suit. The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2 will have 12 episodes, the key visual for which has already been dropped. The Original Net Animation is also on Netflix with Season 1 right now! It is likely that the dongua will be added to Netflix when it releases internationally.

The chances of a global release in 2021 are very slim, leading to a likely Winter 2022 or Spring 2022 release at the earliest.

Who is in The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2 cast?

The voice actors of the two main characters in Season 1 may as well be the returning in The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 2:

  • Sun Lulu as Wang Ling
  • Qian Chen as Sun Rong

The Daily Life of the Immortal King does not have an English or Japanese Dub yet, but being on Netflix, there is a chance that it may get an English/ Japanese Dub in the future.
