Netflix recently came up with a barrage of announcements and renewals for existing anime titles on the platform. Tiger and Bunny Season 2 has officially been confirmed for a return in 2022 following the release of its key visual. The manga for the title began with a one-shot in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2011 which later turned into a serialized manga that ended in 2014.
The recent announcement for The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 2 confirmed the anime’s return after 9 years. Similarly, Tiger and Bunny will be returning with a Season 2 after 11 years. The series has two film releases as well! The first season of the anime is rated 7.9/10 on My Anime List!
What is Tiger and Bunny About?
Tiger and Bunny takes place in an alternate version of New York City called Stern Bild City where entities called NEXTs start showing up and assume the position of superheroes in the new society. The heroes are out for hire and work with companies that sponsor them and also display the logo on their uniforms. To add to this, the endeavors of the heroes are broadcast on a Tv show called ‘Hero TV’.
The Tv show gives heroes points and creates a kind of social ladder. The hero at the top of this ladder at the end of a season becomes the ‘King of Heroes’. Kotsuki Kaburagi and Barnaby Brooks are partnered and clash as they learn to work together. In their line of work, they also encounter a series of mysterious leads to something sinister.
What is Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Plot?
Tiger and Bunny Season 2 is expected to take on after the events of the second movie from the franchise that was released in 2014. The first movie was titled Tiger and Bunny: The Beginning in 2011 while the second movie was titled Tiger and Bunny: The Movie – The Rising. The second movie continues after the season finale of the first season after Kotatsu’s identity becomes revealed to the public.

Tiger and Bunny Season 2 is scheduled for a 25-episode release. The coming season will be a split-cour release which means there will be 2 parts of the season will 10-13 episodes each. Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Part 1 is expected to release in April 2022 with 13 episodes.
The remaining 12 episodes, Tiger and Bunny Season 2 2nd cour will debut on the Netflix catalog during Fall 2022. The information has been revealed via a key visual published on the official Twitter account of Netflix.
Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Episodes 14 to 25 will make their world premiere on Netflix on 7 October 2022.

On 12th March, the franchise officially tweeted the “TIGER & BUNNY 2” Release date. It is happening on Friday, April 8, 2022. It also confirmed that exclusive worldwide distribution has begun as Netflix series. It will stream across 38 countries around the world, including the United States, UK, Australia, and Canada.
