DanMachi Season 4 is all ready to premiere in Summer 2022 as confirmed during AnimeJapan 2022 event on 26th March. The makers had earlier confirmed a sequel to the DanMachi series in January 2021.
Fans were disappointed with DanMachi Season 3 however they have welcomed the news of Season 4. The overall series continues to hold a decent score of 7.5/10 on IMDb and 4.6/5 on Crunchyroll, with Season 3 rated at 7.45/10 on MyAnimeList.
DanMachi – Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon is light novel series written by Fujino Ōmori, illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda and published by SB Creative. The novel version of DanMachi currently has 17 tankonbon volumes since January 2013 under the GA Bunko imprint. The last and latest volume,17 tankonbon volumes in total, of the DanMachi light novel series was published in April 2021. It is expected that many more volumes of the light novel series are to come in future.
DanMachi fans can rejoice with the thought that there is plenty of ready source material to cover DamMachi Season 5 also. Season 4 will start from Volume 12. As per Anime Geek, Danmichi Season 3 was animated up to volume 11.
When will DanMachi Season 4 release?
In January 2021, it was announced that DanMachi is going to be renewed for a new season. Later on, an official teaser and trailer were released to provide a brief look at the new season. It gave hints of the 2022 premiere.
At the recently concluded AnimeJapan March 2022 event, it is confirmed that DanMachi will be back with a season 4, this July 2022, Summer Anime Calendar.
The DanMachi franchise hasn’t shared the exact date, but fans can expect DanMachi Season 4 Episode 1 to get a TV broadcast either on the first weekend or the second weekend of July. Speculations have proved it right that the release date can be on Saturday, July 3rd or Saturday, July 10th in Japan.
The latest trailer released on 24th May confirms that “Danmachi 4″ will hit the small screen on Friday, 22nd July 2022 on Tokyo MX signal at 1:05 am.

A new trailer and promotional visual for the fourth season of the anime were revealed on 24th May. The new trailer has many action sequences of grey nature and is in line with the “Danmachi” light novel. “Danmachi 4″ is expected to start by adapting the 12th volume of the original work. There is no official synopsis of the anime yet, but based on it, you can know what to expect.
On January 31st, 2021 the first official trailer was released on the YouTube channel of AnimeUS. With the release of the first trailer, it was confirmed that the anime DanMachi is coming back with its 4th edition. After almost a year, on Jan 4, 2022, the YouTube channel of AnimeHype released another trailer of DanMachi Season 4. The official teaser trailer released on 15th Feb is the latest one released on AnimeUs YouTube channel.
Where can I watch all episodes of DanMachi Season 4?
DanMachi Season 4 episode 1 is likely to keep the programming block from previous broadcasts. Muse Communication (South East Asia), Animatsu Entertainment (Season 1) and MVM Entertainment (Season 2) took over the licensing part. Tokyo MX, SUN, KBS, BS11, AT-X, and TV Aichi are the original networks for DanMachi anime in Japanese and Aniplus Asia remains the English network.
For a global audience, the DanMachi season 4 anime series is expected to be simulcast on Crunchyroll. It will be for only paid subscribers. However, it will not be available for the free watch as the platform is phasing out its earlier ads that supported free streaming.

DanMachi Season 4 Plot
DanMachi focuses on the story of the protagonist, a 14yr old solo adventurer, Bell Cranel who after his meeting with Goddess Hestia is gifted with some superpowers and starts roaming around the city of Orario and its connection to the dangerous location of Dungeon. All these previous three seasons of DanMachi, it is shown how Bell strives to be the greatest adventurer ever.
Although there are not many updates about the storyline of DanMachi Season 4 hasn’t been released. However, the teaser trailer does provide some hints about how the next season of the anime would be. The teaser actually flashbacks some of Bell’s past adventures throughout the series while also managing to focus much upon what Bell figured out and he is willing to find for himself by the end of the third season.
After the defeat against the immensely powerful Asterius in the final episodes of DanMachi Season 3, Bell desires to become even stronger. So it is for sure that we will definitely see him better himself in Season 4 in all ways possible.
