To add to more delays in anime releases in 2021, the latest addition to the list is Futsal Boys!!!!! The anime release is a part of the multimedia project by Bandai Namco that will feature a video game release along with the anime and a schedule of actual futsal matches between the cast members of the anime. While the project was first announced in 2019, it was inevitably delayed with the onset of the pandemic.
After initial speculations of release in 2021, a recent announcement revealed that the project was pushed to 2022. Bandai Namco Entertainment and diomedéa have announced postponing the release dates of both the game and anime. Futsal Boys!!!!! game has been pushed to unannounced release date so that the devs can get time to improve quality. Futsal Boys!!!!! anime has also been delayed to 2022. Diomedia is producing the anime that is confirmed for a television series. The anime has already been added to My Anime List!

On the official Futsal Boys YouTube channel !!!!! the second promotional video of the anime has been released by the franchise. One can see the protagonists with action scenes involving the boys dribbling with the ball between their feet. There are high hopes from Futsal Boys !!!!! as the anime is expected to gift to its fans spectacular games and adrenaline kick.

What is Futsal Boys About?
Futsal Boys!!!!! is an original project, implying that it is not a manga adaptation and does not follow a specific source material. This is a rather new addition to the sports genre. For those new to the term, Futsal is a mini-football sport that is played with five players team format.
Futsal Boys!!!!! follows a story where futsal becomes a famous sport in the world. The protagonist Haru Yamato watches a U-18 match and feels inspired to play the sport after watching a certain player on the field. True to sports anime, he takes up playing futsal, finds teammates along the way who become friends and also competes with teams, making for formidable enemies and competition.
The opening and ending theme songs for the anime are yet to be confirmed along with the release date. R.O.N. is credited with the music for the anime but the titles are yet to be confirmed.
Futsal Boys!!!!! Release
Futsal Boys!!!!! was originally expected to have a 2021 release but has unfortunately been pushed to 2022. On January 9, 2022, Futsal Boys will make its debut in Japan. Since the series has no adaptation source material, it isn’t possible to predict how the anime will be structured or the number of episodes it will air with.
The decision for the delay is backed by ensuring quality and making improvements before the release of the game as well as the anime.
Futsal Boys!!!!! Project by Bandai Namco Entertainment
The anime series by Diomedia is not the only component in the upcoming Futsal Boys!!!!! project. A video game release that was also previously scheduled for this year, will be released sometime in the coming year. The video game will be a smartphone release for Android and iOS and is currently titled Futsal Boys!!!!! High-Five League.
The official website for the project has not yet announced a date for the game release either.

Along with the stacked cast for the show, the staff for the production will include Shoji Kanemura for story construction, R.O.N. is credited for the music, Mizuki Kawashita, Utaki Yukihiro, Ruka Urumiya and Lily Hoshino are working with original character design for the teams and Tomomi Ishikawa is adapting the artwork into character design. Mao Marita has provided the original story for the anime.
