With new suspenseful villains and vicious demons attacking their destination, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Nezuko and Inosuke find it harder to tell a friend from foe. Hashira Tengen Usui appears on the roof of the district buildings, and from what one can tell, he will be playing an important role to play in the upcoming season.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Dub Details

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (S2)” Entertainment District Arc Arrives on Funimation in 2021.

Funimation has not revealed an official date yet but has confirmed that they will simulcast Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Dub for the United States, Ireland, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

English dub is obviously expected but will likely be stuck on Toonami which should premiere in late 2021/early 2022. Toonami had exclusively cut a deal with Aniplex similar to Sword Art Online and Promised Neverland where the platform got the dub for each new season exclusively.

It should be the normal 6-8 months window before one can watch the Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Dub on Funimation following its run on Toonami.

The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (S2)” Entertainment District Arc is only 30 chapters, so 12-13 episodes seem likely. Season 1 adapted the first 50 chapters approximately, so it would make sense for S2 to have less.

Assuming the Entertainment district arc is just one cour season for plot reasons, we’re looking at June/July 2022 window for English Dub streaming options. If it’s two cour then we’re looking at September 2022 or even the Fall season. But for now, we will have to wait for official announcements.

Fans are hoping that Funimation strikes a deal similar to Attack on Titan style with only a day’s delay, but one cannot be too optimistic that it will happen.

Funimation has also released Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train which broke long-standing Japanese Box Office Records.

  1. Whether it’s June or not… I’m looking forward to it.
*Also there are 2 typos in the cast announcement. Nezuko was spelled as “Nezuki.” Unless it wasn’t released about the English dub voice actor, it’s the same person in English, or just was forgotten… But Uzui Tengen’s Japanese voice actor isn’t there*

  2. I’m so excited for the second season of Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba! I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
