What is Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure About?

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. The manga originally began in 1987 and was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump till 2004, with the end of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure begins in 19th century Britain with Jonathan Joetar and his adoptive step-brother Dio. Naturally, Dio turns out to be evil and steals the mysterious stone mask of the Joestar family that turning him into a kind of immortal vampire. The generations of Jojos that come after him are all tied together by the Joestar legacy of fighting against Dio or some form of evil and of course, the Joestar birthmark – The Star.

All the installments of Jojo have their own Jojo! Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Till Now

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean has been loaded till now. Jolyne Cujoh get a forged sentence to the Dolphin prison where she is sentenced to 15 years for a crime she did not commit. While trying to make her way through the prison, she receives a charm from her father – Jotaro Kujo. This charm cuts her and awakens her stand Stone Free. But as fortune has it, the arrow in this charm reaches other inmates too and gives them powerful stands as well.

Jotaro visits the prison to break Jolyne out of there but falls victim to the sinister plan of Johngalli A. and Enrico Pucci and has Star Platinum taken from him. Jolyne decides to save her father from this using the resources of the Speedwagon Foundation that has been with the Joestars since Jonathan’s era.

Pucci’s history with Dio here becomes known. Pucci and Dio befriended each other during the timeline of Stardust Crusaders to share the secret of reaching heaven without dying. But before Dio could tell anything to Pucci, Jotaro puts an end to him and burns the book that held all those secrets. This makes Jotaro the primary target as Pucci steals Star Platinum from him, putting him in a state of coma.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 – Dio’s Bone

The post-credits scene for episode 12 sets up Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2. Pucci evades Jolyne and lays waste to her plans of finding him. Pucci also meets Sports Max and asks him to try out his powers on the most shocking artifact in the series now – a bone from Dio’s body.

Jotaro hangs in a life-or-death situation. Even as Jolyne manages to retrieve that disc that holds Star Platinum. The fight is far from over as the upcoming events get more convoluted and Pucci threatens the Joestar bloodline. Jolyne has the support of her allies made in Dolphin Prison but will it be enough to purge the curse of Dio?

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 Release Date

When the announcement for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean was made, it was said that the anime will release episodes monthly. The anime was released on Netflix with 12 episodes on December 1st, 2021. The next release is naturally January 2022. But that still leaves the question – how many episodes are going to be there in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 and also the entire season in general? The past seasons of Jojo have had over 30-35 episodes consistently, with Golden Wind at 39 episodes.

Stone Ocean may release episodes in batches of 12-13 for the next few months. My Anime List has updated the count to only 16 episodes as of now.

In the absence of any confirmation from Netflix and David Productions, the animation company behind the Stone Ocean anime, we are left with speculations. The pending and assumed 12 episodes of Jojo Stone Ocean Episode 13 may get a batch drop in February 2022. Assuming that there are 12 pending episodes and each episode takes a week, hence 12 weeks from now is February 23, 2022. The release date of the next batch of Jojo Stone Ocean Part 2 episodes appears to be fair enough.

However, another set of predictions hints at a comeback of Jojo Stone Ocean Part 2 Episode 13 from March 26th, 2022. This is based on the assumption that Stone Ocean got an unusual release on Netflix prior to its premiere on Japanese television networks.

For Japanese fans, Stone Ocean will air on television networks Tokyo MX, BS11 and MBS from January 8th. It will not be a batch drop, rather it will release weekly episodes for the next 12 weeks. Logically speaking the fans should not expect before the Stone Ocean Episode 12 airs on Japanese tv networks. In other words, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Part 2 was speculated to get a release date shortly after March 26th, 2022.

However, at the recently concluded AnimeJapan event, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 release date was confirmed for Fall 2022.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Episode 13 release date confirmed in a new trailer

Netflix has confirmed the global premiere date of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean episodes 13 to 24. The complicated story of Jolyne Kujo will arrive on Netflix on Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will have twelve episodes and run from 13 to 24. Netflix has announced the date with a trailer. Lasting about two minutes, the promotional video summarizes Jolyne’s current crisis. It once again reframes the primary goal of the antagonist Enrico Pucci and that is to revive his dear friend Dio Brando from his bone. One can see the main characters, Jolyne, Ermes, FF, Narciso, Weather Forecast, Emporio Alnin, and Enrico Pucci also.

Though it is not clear whether all 12 episodes of “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean” would drop in a single go but my preference would be a weekly anime, and not as a content pack that drops every 9 months.
