The best news this holiday season could bring is here! Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 is officially confirmed and we’re absolutely hyped! As one of the best anime releases among all genres in Fall 2021, Komi Can’t Communicate has amassed a huge fan following the release of the anime adaptation along with a love for the existing manga series.

Komi Can’t Communicate is a manga series written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda. The manga began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2016 and currently has 22 volumes. In a 2020 poll, the series was voted as the ‘Most Wanted Anime Adaptation’ fans of the manga lifted the Komi Can’t Communicate Season 1 of the anime adaptation to one of the most-watched anime of Fall 2021!

What is Komi Can’t Communicate About?

Komi Can’t Communicate is a slice of life, high school romantic comedy. Shouko Komi is what is known as the most beautiful girl in Itan High School who manages to become the centre of attention unwillingly on the first day of school. Hitohito Tadano is an average guy who is basically a wallflower and wants to have a peaceful life, away from attention. As fate would have it, he is seated beside Komi and thus becomes the point of the school’s envy.

In a chance encounter. he realizes that Komi is not stoic, intimidating and unapproachable as people think she is. They equate her to a God and make her the school’s idol. Tadano is an awkward and kind person who figures Komi out. Komi has extreme social anxiety and struggles to communicate with people around her.

Awkwardly stumbling through the beginning of their friendship, Tadano promises Komi to help her make a hundred friends.

Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 Plot

Komi Can’t Communicate Season 1 of the anime ended with 12 episodes adapting the first four volumes of the manga and ending somewhere at the beginning of Volume 5. Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 should begin from the school cultural festival as one of its first stories and then continue in story arcs starting with the first year arc.

Chapter 62 of the manga should roughly correspond to the beginning of Season 2. The biggest event of the school year is here and there is a lot coming for Komi that she will have to deal with help from her friends.

Komi Can’t Communicate manga currently has over 300 chapters, and with the kind of response that the series has received, more seasons for the anime are bound to pour in subsequently and will probably span across 2022 and 2023.

Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 has confirmed an April 2022 release with the announcement coming in through Netflix’s official Twitter page.

All the Komi Can’t Communicate Episodes are being released on Netflix at one episode per week. In the second season, the gorgeous and hushed Komi will continue with her search for her friends. Komi Can’t Communicate Season 2 debuts on Netflix from Wednesday, 6 April 2022. The date has been revealed in a key visual.

Here is the visual shared in a tweet. One can see the main characters of the series Komi Shouko, Tadano Hitohito and Osana Najimi in the foreground.

Komi Can’t Communicate began streaming on Netflix globally on October 21st while Netflix Japan, TV Tokyo and other broadcasting channels had the show from October 6/ October 7 meaning that the global Netflix release still has two weeks before the end of the anime. There are currently 10 episodes available on Netflix outside Japan, with Komi Can’t Communicate Episode 11 releasing on December 30th 2021.

It is on the Netflix platform that one can find Season 1 and the upcoming Season 2. All 11 episodes are available for Netflix subscribers.
