It is not ready to lose the ranking of the most viewed anime series in Japan and could soon knock on the door with Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2. According to reliable leaks, an announcement of Cour 2 of Spy x Family is coming your way on 28th August along with a key visual.
Apart from a promotional poster, we are not sure whether the announcement will be marked by a trailer or simply a teaser.
During the event, it is speculated that the Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2 release date may also get announced. This is assumed on the basis of an earlier announcement of Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2 anime to be part of the autumn anime calendar that starts in October.
The announcement of the premiere date may happen, but it would be logical for Wit Studio and Clover Works to reserve it for maybe a couple of weeks later, with the debut to play.

It is a manga series by Tetsuya Endo that began serialization in 2019 and currently has 9 volumes and it is also NOT finished. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and was even nominated for the prestigious Eisner award in 2021 and has more than 12 million copies in circulation! The manga series has a rating of 8.78/10 on My Anime List and the anime 8.6/10 on IMDb.
What is Spy x Family About?
The series is a Spy action-comedy that delves into the lives of a fake family. Twilight is a master spy of the Westalis and works to keep any war from sparking with the neighboring country of Ostania. His latest mission, Operation Strix needs him to infiltrate the school Ostranian politician Donovan Desmond’s son is enrolled.
Disguised as Liod Forger, Twilight conjures a pretend family for the sake of a mission and ends up with a very interesting ensemble. His wife Yor is a professional assassin who disguises herself as an employee in the City Hall. His adopted daughter Anya can read minds and is a product of many experiments. The only person who seems to know the full truth about this set-up is Anya, due to her abilities.
Even as a fake family, the three seem to find more of a home in each other than they would initially imagine. The opening and the ending themes have not yet been announced by the official posters and key visuals for Spy x Family have been released!
When will Spy x Family Episode 13 Release?
It was on March 6th, 2022, Wit Studio and Clover Works announced on their website that Spy x Family Part 1 Season 1 anime will get a premiere on Saturday, April 9th, 2022. The anime spanned one cour with 12 episodes and was announced for a split cour release. Following the twelfth episode, the Spy x Family anime took a small summer break. It was assumed that Spy x Family Episode 13 will resume in October as part of the Fall anime calendar

Spy x Family Episode 13 release date has been revealed during a special broadcast on 28th August. While revealing a key visual, the franchise announced the premiere date of Spy x Family Part 2 release date to be Saturday, 1st October 2022.

How many episodes will Spy x Family Part 2 have?
There is no official confirmation on how many episodes will Spy x Family Part 2 have. However, at the time of Part 1 adaptation, WIT Studio and CloverWorks had decided to split into two separate cours. Spy x Family Season 1 Part 1 consisted of 12 episodes and the entire series was designed for 25 episodes. In other words, Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2 will come back with 13 episodes. The second cour will consist of episodes running from 13 to 25.
Fans will again be in the company of Loid Forger and adopted daughter Anya for 11-12 weeks starting October.
The second cour – Spy x Family Part 2 will cover the Doggy Crisis Arc of the manga. It will start from Chapter 18 and end in Chapter 23. Spy x Family Part 1 anime covered the first five arcs of the manga with each arc covering either 2/3 episodes each. On similar lines, fans can expect Spy x Family part 2 to adapt the Midterm Exam Arc and the Campbelldon Tennis Arc.
Honestly, seeing the pace at which Spy x Family adaptation is being worked on, it will not be a big surprise if Spy x Family Season 2 gets confirmed at the finale of part 2. Hoping that Endo-sensei weaves around his story and slowly the Forgers will have no choice but to return to our lives.
This time, however, Spy x Family Part 2 will face stiff competition unlike the Part 1 release in the spring. Instead, it will have to play against rivals of the caliber of Chainsaw Man, return of Bleach, or Mob Psycho 100. We have to wait and see how it retains being ‘the great debutante’. Will the Forger family be able to reconfirm themselves?
Regardless of whether Spy x Family part 2 turns out to be as great as Spy x Family part 1, the truth is that Fall anime lineup 2022 will be the most gripping in years to come.
