With Spy x Family anime finally arriving on Crunchyroll and Netflix, one needs to know how many episodes will Spy x Family Season 1 have.

As per reports of the home video edition coming out in Japan, WIT Studio and CloverWorks will continue with an anime adaptation in two separate cours. Spy x Family Season 1 Part 1 will consist of 12 episodes. In other words, fans will be in the company of Loid Forger and get adopted daughter Anya for the next 11 weeks. It will come to an end by the end of June.

Following the twelfth episode, the Spy x Family anime will take a small summer break. Spy x Family Season 1 Part 2 Episode 13 will resume at the end of October as part of the Fall anime calendar. The second cour will consist of episodes running from 13 to 25.

The long-awaited spring 2022 spy drama finally made its official anime debut with an absolute banger of a premiere. The plot revolves around an elite spy’s undercover mission to prevent chaos from erupting between two superpowers while maintaining the pristine facade of a fake family.

It is a manga series by Tetsuya Endo that began serialization in 2019 and currently has 8 volumes. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and was even nominated for the prestigious Eisner award in 2021 and has more than 12 million copies in circulation! The manga series has a rating of 8.6/10 on My Anime List!

What is Spy x Family About?

The series is a Spy action-comedy that delves into the lives of a fake family. Twilight is a master spy of the Westalis and works to keep any war from sparking with the neighbouring country of Ostania. His latest mission, Operation Strix needs him to infiltrate the school Ostranian politician Donovan Desmond’s son is enrolled.

Disguised as Liod Forger, Twilight conjures a pretend family for the sake of a mission and ends up with a very interesting ensemble. His wife Yor is a professional assassin who disguises herself as an employee in the City Hall. His adopted daughter Anya can read minds and is a product of many experiments. The only person who seems to know the full truth about this set-up is Anya, due to her abilities.

Even as a fake family, the three seem to find more of a home in each other than they would initially imagine. The opening and the ending themes have not yet been announced by the official posters and key visuals for Spy x Family have been released!
