One Piece anime production studio, Toei Animation has confirmed that part of its servers has got hacked. It happened on 6th March when the hackers were able to access Studios servers and suspend part of their internal system.
This has impacted the broadcast schedule of upcoming episodes of One Piece, Digimon Ghost Anime, Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai, and Delicious Party Precure anime. To counter the effects of the server’s breach, Studio has to shut down its internal system partially. It appears that the cyber hackers have been able to penetrate the server and play with the animation files. This has resulted in the studio to run weeks behind the schedule. The extent of damage is being investigated. The news was confirmed on the official website of One Piece.
The Studio will inform its fans on the website about its revised broadcast schedule. Though the news is disturbing for One Piece anime fans but the episode releasing on Sunday, March 13th will be broadcast as scheduled. From Sunday, 20th March, One Piece anime will go on an indefinite break.
One Piece anime is not the only one affected. The studio has confirmed the impacted schedule of the other anime in production under its umbrella. Check it out:
- Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 73 will not drop in on March 12. Instead rerun of Episode 31 will happen. The weekly drops in successive weeks will be intimated shortly by the studio.
- Digimon Ghost Game Anime Twitter account, it will announce at a later date what will air on March 20.
- Delicious Party Precure Twitter account has also announced that it will come will a rerun of Episode 4 on Monday, March 13 instead of the planned Episode 6.
Fans who wait for weekly Sunday/Monday drops of their favorite anime will have to wait for an official announcement from Toei Animation once it plugs the loop and resumes work. Till then stay tuned.
