Robot Hero Bullbuster TV Anime Set to Premiere in 2023!

Studio NUT is set to return with Bullbubster in 2023 and we’re hyped for it! Studio NUT has only a few productions since its establishment in 2017. One of the significant anime series released by Studio NUT is Youjo Senki: The Saga Of Tanya the Evil Season 2 which is expected to release soon!

The Bullbuster Multimedia project announced the anime on their official website along with an audio drama series which is available on Youtube. The franchise for the anime series is also going to have a stage presentation on November 27th at the Kiyakyushi Pop Culture Festival. There are two novels published from the franchise by Kadokawa. The original work is by Nakao and Seiji Ebihara worked on the novels.

What is Bullbuster About?

The plot of the anime revolves around Bullbuster, a new robot built by a young scientist named Tetsuro Okino is transferred to Hato Industries, a corporation known for exterminating harmful animals. Hato being a small industry is up against a mysterious creature called the Kyoju. The president of the Industries, Koji Tajima is often faced with a shortage of funds and must account for fuel, labor, and everything in between. There’s very little room for error when the economic system and its principles of exterminating Kyoju.

When will Bullbuster “Robot Hero” anime release?

The Bullbuster multimedia project has already released the audio drama series on Youtube. The anime series has been scheduled for release in 2023 but has not committed to a specific anime season yet. Given that the audio drama series is already out, it is likely that Bullbuster will be a part of the first half of 2023. Spring 2023 may just be the perfect anime season for the series!

The anime has not announced the length of the series yet and as it is not adapted from a manga, the number of episodes is yet to be confirmed. The anime could have a single cour release with 12-14 episodes and then could be renewed for another season. The details for the anime will be released in the upcoming months.

The official voice cast for the anime has been revealed! The main characters in the show include:

  • Shoya Chiba as Tetsuro Okino
  • Asami Seto as Arumi Ikaido
  • Yuki Takada as Miyuki Shirogane
  • Ken Uo as Kintaro Kataoka
  • Taiten Kusunoki as Ginnosuke Muto

The main staff working on the anime at Studio NUT have also been announced! Hiroyuki Nakao and P.I.C.S are credited with the organizing and planning of the series. Eisaku Kobunoushi, the creator of Carol and Tuesday, is in charge of the original character design. Junji Okubo is the mechanical engineer for the series. Hiroyasu Aoki is credited with direction and is also the head of script supervision. Takahisa Katagiri is in charge of adapting the original character design for the anime series, acting as the chief animation director.
