Written by Reki and illustrated by ABEC, Sword Art Online is a Japanese Novel. By Yen Press, this novel and the manga have been licensed for release. Produced by A1 Pictures and directed by Tomohiko Itō, the series revolves around the adventures of Kirito and Asuna Yuuki.

The players are trapped inside a virtual world named Sword Art Online in short SAO. In order to free themselves from that place, they are instructed to clear a total of 100 Floors and defeat the boss, who’s a computer-controlled significant opponent. In many ways, the final boss is stronger than the other enemies the player has faced so far. The television series aired for the first time in 2012 on July 8.

WHAT IS SWORD ART ONLINE ABOUT? 

The story sets in 2022, at the beginning of the year. The players are trapped inside a virtual world named Sword Art Online short SAO. In order to free themselves from that place, they are instructed to clear a total of 100 Floors.

In SAO the protagonists Kazuto Kirigaya and Asuna Yukki become friends while marrying each other later on. The couple finds out Kayaba’s secret ID  who’s a leader of the guild and plans on destroying him to free themselves. Later Kazuto discovers in the real world that 300 SAO players are still stuck and Asuna is one of them. A few months later he is aware that Asuna was spotted on ‘The World Tree’, he also learns about Sugou and his criminal ideas to perform experiments on these people. Kirito ultimately sabotaged the plan of Sugou who is later imprisoned for attempting to murder Kirito. 

SWORD ART ONLINE RELEASE DATE COUNTDOWN 

Netflix is rumored to have announced Sword Art Online Season 5 release date to be November 6, 2022. Twitter is flooded with the SOA 5 release date. However, it is not been officially announced. In the last three seasons, the show has been a blast and had a total of 96 episodes. 

The franchise previously announced this year that the waiting for season 5 is coming to an end very shortly. After four successful seasons, this anime is no longer holding back. The brand new season of Sword Art Online will be out on 6th November 2022 in Asia / Tokyo time.
