Takt Op Destiny Anime Release on October 5, Plot, Trailer and More!

Fall 2021 has a lot of returning anime that is getting its second or third seasons. But new titles are also raising heat! One is Takt Op Destiny (read Takt Opus Destiny) which is set for a Fall 2021 release and we cannot wait. Unlike most anime releases, Takt Op Destiny is not adapted from a manga series or a light novel series.

The anime is a part of a mixed media project by Bandai Namco Arts and DeNa and is slated for release in Japan in October. It is one of the most looked forward to as it promises to be musical anime coming from the giant studios of MAPPA and Madhouse

It also features a mobile game release titled Takt Op. Destiny in the City of Crimson Melody (Takt Op. Unmei wa Akaki Senritsu no Machi o) was developed by Game Studio. While the project does not have a lot of information that has been made public, here’s all we know about the upcoming release!

Takt Op Destiny official website recently unveiled the second trailer. It featured the opening song “takt” by Ryo from Supercell. The vocals have been given by Mafumafu and gaku. The ending theme has been done by “Symphonia” from Mika Nakashima.

Takt Op Destiny Plot

The story of Takt Op Destiny takes place in a rather grim future. The crash of a meteor on earth brings hideous monsters called D2 who quickly rid humanity of all that was of their joyous life. One of the things now removed from human life is the joy of music. But as every tragedy sees the rise of a hero, a group of women rise against the D2. In this apocalyptical world, a group of women with the power of music use ‘scores’ to defeat the D2. The leader of this group is named the ‘Conductor’.

The makers have revealed few pictures and titled the first episode as “Conductor-Creed”. Check them out!

The setting of anime is old America that has been laid to ruins in 2047 looks to this group of music users called the ‘MusicArt’ who fight with classical music. Takt Asahina, a conductor, teams up with Unmei (Destiny), a member of the MusicArt to reach a goal that will help humanity. Unmei wants to wipe out the D2 and Takt wishes to return music to the lives of people.

They set out on a journey that is set to end in New York.The anime has already been added to My Anime List! The anime is co-produced by MadHouse and MAPPA, raising the bar for the release even further. The OP for the anime ‘takt’ is performed by Ryo from Supercell and the EP ‘Symphonia’ is performed by Mika Nakashima. The anime has also released its key visual!

Takt Op Destiny Anime Release Date

The anime is one of the anticipated releases set for October 5! It will premiere on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo and affiliated channels. Technically, the Takt Op Destiny anime premiers at midnight on October 6th 2021, which would be October 5th for most other regions. The corresponding release time for other regions will change accordingly:

Takt Op. Destiny has been licensed by Crunchyroll for other regions and will likely simulcast the episodes as they are released.

What About Takt Op. Destiny Dub?

The anime has been licensed by Crunchyroll which means there is a solid possibility of the anime getting an English Dub by Funimation. The popularity of the anime will also have a say in whether an English Dub cast will be assembled. Usually, English Dubs begin after the end of the Japanese release of an anime. If announcements are made in the upcoming months, they will be shared!

Takt Op. Destiny Mobile Game: Destiny in the City of Crimson Melody

As a part of the Takt Op. Destiny project, a mobile game by the same name will also be released. While the anime has a confirmed release date, the game is supposed to release in 2021, but a specific date and associated details are currently unavailable. LAM will be contributing towards the character designs, Yish will be working on the concept background art, Marasey is the key pianist and Hirofumi Kurita is the Musical Research Advisor.
