The Way of The Househusband is a manga series created and illustrated by Kousuke Oono and has been serialized in the Kurage Bunch magazine since 2018. The manga series currently has 8 tankonbon volumes. The anime adaptation for the series is an ONA that is currently available on Netflix!

What is The Way of The Househusband About?
The Way of The Househusband or Gokushufudou revolves around Tatsu, a former Yakuza boss who leaves the criminal life to be supportive of his wife, Miku, who is a career woman. The series goes through Tatsu switching from being a formidable and infamous Yakuza member to a regular househusband and dealing with the daily challenges that come with it.
His clashes with his enemies have suddenly disappeared and while people wonder why he has disappeared, he continues to try living a peaceful life in his wife’s apartment. He learns and attempts to master all the skills that he needs to become an efficient homemaker and surprises the people around him. With his intimidating appearance and rather complicated past, Tatsu tried so to make the most of his present life. Occasional run-ins with people from his older life only add to the hilarity and surprise!
The series has also received a drama adaptation as well as a recent live-action! The Way of The Househusband is rated 7/10 on My Anime List!
The Way of The Househusband Season 2 Plot
The Way of The Househusband Season 2 is likely to be patterned the same way as Season 1. The anime follows an episodic story rather than story arcs. Each episode sees Tatsu and the people around him engage in something new. While there are recurring characters and connected events, the story does not necessarily depend on a continuing narrative.
That said, The Way of The Househusband Season 2 will be loaded with the same comedic and wholesome content as the first season! Tatsu and Miku continue to be adorable as Tatsu works to be a skilled homemaker.

Netflix Japan has confirmed the return of The Way of The Househusband for a Fall 2021 release! The Way of The Househusband Season 2 will be released in October 2021. The final date for the release of the show, however, has not been announced. Netflix has options for Japanese Audio as well as an English Dub for The Way of The Househusband.
Season 1 of the anime was released with 5 episodes. Here’s to hoping that the coming season of the anime only brings more content our way, while remaining true to the source. As for the manga series, Viz media has the license for the series. The physical version of the manga is for $12.99 and the digital version is approximated at $8.99.
