Violet Evergarden The Movie Trailer

Violet Evergarden The Movie Plot

Violet Evergarden The Movie takes place as a sequel to the story in the anime. As much as a story can move one to tears, Violet Evergarden manages to do that and beyond. In a rich emotional journey, Violet decides to become an auto-memory doll that becomes a popular medium for people to convey their message and send heartfelt letters. With her only sense of self-being a product of war, Violet’s journey of exploring her humanity and emotions begins.

In the war, she lost both her hands and her mentor Major Gilbert, whose parting words ‘I Love You’ are ingrained in her. As an auto-memory doll, Violet rises in fame but struggles to deal with the past that she cannot piece together. The movie follows Violet as she continues to understand the emotions of the ones around her and most importantly, herself.

The movie recaps her origin story and takes place in Leidenschaftlich as Violet explores her own heart and her love for Gilbert who isn’t completely gone yet. In the midst of her journey, technological advancements in an era similar to the Victorian age threaten her work as a ghostwriter of soulful letters.
