Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 episodes list
Jujutsu Kaisen Manga is an ongoing series with 15 volumes published. Movie 0 covered Volume 0 and Season 1 of the anime series released in 2020 covered Volumes 1-7. This means that ideally, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 should cover the manga from Volume 8 onwards. The anime community generally responds very positively to an adaptation that respects the manga story. Hopefully, this series will continue to do the same.
Season 1 of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series was released with 24 episodes in 2020. In Japan, it premiered on MBS and TBS at midnight and later on streamed on Crunchyroll for global fans. Each episode played for 24 to 25 minutes. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 Episode 1 aired in October 2020 and the season finale dropped in on March 27, 2021.
How many episodes will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 be released? Hopefully, it will follow Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 with 24 episodes of 25 minutes duration each.
Jujutsu Kaisen was first serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018, received another volume titled Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0 in 2019, and was finally released as an anime adaptation in 2020. Needless to say, its popularity blew straight through the roof. The manga series itself has about 50 million copies and has gone ahead to be one of the best-selling manga there is.
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of those anime that you cannot miss nowadays. From a ragingly popular manga series by Gege Akutami, an anime series, an upcoming movie, and a recent mobile role-playing game announcement, it is definitely taking over.
Jujutsu Kaisen has a huge viewership as one of the most popular releases of the past few years. It can be gauged from Jujutsu Kaisen ranking 33 in the best anime category of all time. On platforms, it is rated 8.8/10 on IMDB, 4.8/5 on Crunchyroll, and 8.77/10 on MyAnimeList. The popularity index of the masterpiece is a sufficient reason to get a renewal.
As far as source material is concerned left to be adapted, Season 1 ended in chapter 64 of Volume 8. Jujutsu Kaisen manga has in total 143 published chapters. It can safely be concluded that there is enough material to last for another 2 seasons till Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 1 Synopsis
The official JJK Japanese website has listed the following synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 1, translated into English:
“Sorcerers Utahime and Mei Mei are sent to investigate a Western-style house in which many people have gone missing. After infiltrating the Western-style house and discovering the ward [barrier] techniques of the jurei [Cursed Spirit], the two take action to break the wards, but suddenly the building begins to collapse. The two are thrown into the air, and at that moment, what appears before their eyes is… 2006. The year is 2006, and a blue spring begins for the two strongest people, from which there is no return.”
Which story arcs and chapters will be adapted in Jujutsu Kaisen 2?
Officially there has been no information on the chapters that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will cover. As of now, we are aware that Jujutsu Kaisen 2 Episode 1 will begin its broadcast in July and will continue until December 2023.
If Season 2 of the series was made on similar lines to Season 1 and had 24 or 25 episodes, then the narrative arcs would surely be two. There are few left. The first narrative arc is made up of 15 chapters, while the second has 58 chapters.
If the presumption works right, then the “Hidden Inventory” arc and the “Shibuya Incident” arc will make their way to the screen. From manga, Jujutsu Kaisen 2 would adapt 73 chapters while Season 1 adapted 63 Chapters instead.
Although it sounds remote, but the possibility of Jujutsu Kaisen 2 integrating Movie 0 cannot be excluded, somewhat similar to what Ufotable did in Demon Slayer Season 2.
If Movie 0 gets integrated, Studio MAPPA will need to create a season of 12 episodes with only “Hidden Inventory” as the narrative arc. But this might not go down very well with the fans because it will unnecessarily postpone the key episodes of history.
Another set of valid speculation says that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has sown important seeds that will bear fruit in Season 2. If the series goes ahead with adapting from Volume 8 onwards, The Jujutsu sorcerers are going to make a comeback, perhaps faced with greater threats. The anime would then be covering Gojo’s Past Arc and the Shibuya Incident Arc. The Season would be particularly interesting with Gojo’s past, with the insanely powerful yet goofy teacher who everyone adores.
Where can I watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Dub?
Fans should take note that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will offer dubbing options in various languages, including English, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, and Russian. However, the specific release date for the dubbed versions is yet to be announced.
In addition to Crunchyroll, season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will also be available on streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu, but only in selected Asian territories. Fans in those regions will have the opportunity to enjoy the new season through these platforms.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 is streaming on Crunchyroll and available in Japanese with English Dubs.
Will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 stream on Netflix?
Unfortunately, Jujutsu Kaisen is not added to the anime catalog on Netflix. But with the rising popularity graph in the West, anime is likely to be added to Netflix. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 is also not streaming on popular platforms like Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and Funimation for the time being. But English dub and more platforms will be added soon.
