Just after the end of Season 1, Yashahime Season 2 got confirmed! For the fans who grew up watching the classic series Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (Hanyo no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi), the announcement of Yashahime in 2020 was a nostalgic surprise! The manga series for both the anime is written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. Inuyasha, the parent series was serialized from 1986 to 2008 creating 56 volumes of the manga.
The anime adaption Inuyasha has a run with over 100 episodes and 4 movies. Inuyasha: The Final Act released in 2006 with 16 episodes and marks the end of the Inuyasha series. The ends with Inuyasha and Kagome being married and living with their children, Miroku, Sango and all their friends in the feudal era.
The events of Yashahime take place 7 years after the Final Act. Inuyasha and Kagome have a daughter named Yashahime and Sesshoumaru too has twins. One of twins, Towa, ends up stranded in the modern age and is adopted by Kagome’s younger brother Sota and his wife.
The siblings are reunited and are also joined by Moroha who has no memory of her parents, Inuyasha and Kagome. If you remember the Shikon Jewel from the original series, we now have the Seven Rainbow pearls and a formidable enemy waiting in the dark yet again.
Yashahime Season 2 Release Date
Yashahime will be making a comeback on October 2, 2021. The official title for Yashahime Season 2 is going to be ‘The Second Act’. The comeback for the second season was officially confirmed on 26th April. On June 30th, fans were treated with the return of “The Second Act” on October 2nd.
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act opening and ending song has yet not been confirmed. But it is speculated that OP for Season 2 will be played by the boyband, NEWS. They performed the cour 2 OP.
In Yashahime Season 1, the anime had a 24-episode run and it is likely that Season 2 will follow the same pattern. Season 1 of the anime has a rating of 6.72/10 on My Anime List and 7.2/10 on IMDb.

Where can you watch Yashahime Season 2 Dub?
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Season 2 (Hanyo no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi Season 2) is officially titled Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act (Hanyo no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi: Ni no Shou) by VIZ Media.
Season 1 was streaming on platforms Hulu, Funimation, and Crunchyroll. The English dub for the series also began airing on November 6, 2020. Following the same pattern, Yashahime Season 2 should also stream on these platforms. Yashahime Season 2 Dub is speculated to arrive around the end of 2021.
In the meantime, Adult Swim’s Toonami broadcasting block is airing Season 1 dub from late-June. One can be hopeful of Season 2 to return here in Summer 2022.
