Out of the blue, the Pokémon Company International has revealed a list of new anime miniseries. The announcement is part of the company’s ongoing silver jubilee celebrations. It was done yesterday, close to the recent Pokémon series: The Twilight Wings by Studio Colorido.

Eight episodes for 8 regions, titled Pokémon Evolutions will debut on September 9 on YouTube with the first of eight episodes. These 8 regions are the ones that Pokemon players are well versed in and will relive the nostalgia with each episode. The first episode will be based out of the Galar region and will air on 9th September.

The other 7 franchise’s regions where Pokémon anime series, Pokémon Evolutions will be based include Galar, Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto.

The episodes will stream on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and on Pokémon TV with every new episode dropping in fortnightly. It will take a month-long break in November. It is free to stream.

  8. The discovery featuring the Kanto region – Thursday, 23rd December

The trailer released in the tweet gives a peek into the characters. They are all familiar with Pokemon, Leon and his Charizard visible. One can connect the trailer with a storyline based on a Pikachu. It also reveals the first Galar region with a battle between Leon, the champion of the Galar Pokémon League, and the legendary Pokémon Eternatus. One can also spot Ball Guy, the mascot from the Pokémon Sword and Shield games.

Pokemon Evolutions anime miniseries is produced in collaboration with Pokémon Company and OLM Studios. The past works including Pokémon movies and series based on Yo-Kai Watch, Inazuma Eleven, and Beyblade have come out from the animation studio.
