One of the most amazing American adult animated action-adventure television series to come out on 8th October 2019 was Primal Season 1. Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky of the “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “Samurai Jack” fame series. His team came up with a brilliant, edge-sitting, captivating and fulfilling story. It instantly connected with the audience in the first few episodes itself where many sitcoms failed to understand the pulse. Primal Season 2 Release Date
When Primal came out initially in 2019, it got aired in two parts of 5 episodes. Even before the release of the second batch, Adult Swim already announced the renewal of the show.
On 14th February, an announcement of an official release date for Primal Season 2 was made. Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal Season 2 has now an official release window. Since last year, fans were kept updated about a new season in the works with hints about its future premiere.
Tartakovsky, the director updated his fans on Primal’s behind-the-scenes progress on Instagram. As per him, the last storyboard panel of the last episode of Primal Season 2 got over in October. It’s a long way to go now with work only halfway done! It was speculated that the Primal Season 2 release might happen in summer of 2022.
Now with the announcement, we have at least a year and month. During the Television Critics Association’s Winter Virtual Press Tour, TCA revealed that Primal Season 2 will air on Adult Swim in Summer 2022. Teh same was shared officially via tweet. A short teaser was also shared to mark the announcement. The makers are yet to announce a concrete release date for the new episodes. Fortunately, we are not far off from the Summers.
How many episodes with Primal Season 2 have?
Though there isn’t much official confirmation about Primal Season 2 episodes, however, there are fan speculations. It is likely to go the way of the first season. It will have 10 episodes like its predecessor. But there is no intel on how the makers will air the episodes. Will they be split into two parts or all 10 episodes in one go.

Most shows like Primal eventually end up being cliche. But the creators have actually gone to an extended length to avoid this! Primal is essentially a silent animated series without many dialogues. Although there are occasional grunts and roars. As a result, there is not a big cast of top tier voice actors involved.
There has been confirmation about Laetitia Eido-Mollon voicing Mira in Primal Season 2. This largely opens up the scope of more speaking characters coming into the play. Apart from Spear and Fang trying to save Mira, we cannot really predict anything that the next season will hit us with.
But it is definitely undeniable that Genndy Tartakovsky has mastered his art of animation and storytelling– one of a kind and perhaps, one of the most successful creators.
