About Tokyo Revengers

Tokyo Revengers blends Sci-fi with high school delinquency. As strange as it sounds, landmark releases like Akira too was a blend of these genres. Tokyo Revengers revolves around Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old delinquent who looks like a kid. A lot of people in the anime do but that is because of a twist.

One day he discovers that his only girlfriend ever had been killed along with her sibling. Takemichi too dies moments after learning this but is somehow warped back in time to relive his high school days. He tries to change the past and prevent Hinata’s death. Takemichi, now able to travel through time, uses his ability to change the course of the future.

Tokyo Revengers Episode 17 is the latest release out of the 24 expected in Season 1.

Teh animation is taken care of by Liden Films Studios with Kouichi Hatsumi at the helm and Yasuyuki Mutou as the primary scriptwriter. Music is composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi and Kenichi Oonuki and Keiko Oota have designed the characters. The opening theme song “Cry Baby” has been sung by Pop group Official HIGE DANdism. Tokyo Revengers Episode 17 is titled “No Way”. The episode begins with a recap of Kazutora and Baji murdering Mikey’s brother in an accident. Takemichi is now confronted with he truth the Baji did not join Valhalla on a whim but actually left because of his his allyship with Kazutora who saved him from going to juvie years ago. Takemichi feels very lost and feels it is going to be very difficult to bring Baji back.

The next day he meet Chifuyu who just happens to call him as he passes by a swing. Chifuyu speaks in praise of Baji, implying that Baji had done things for the best of Toman. Takemichi feels confused. Chifuyu reveals that Baji has joined Valhalla not for the destruction of Toman but to expose Kiseki Tetta. He also tells Takemichi that Baji bashed him up during the 3rd division leader announcement ceremony to save him from a worse fate.

Mikey, Draken, Chifuyu and Takemichi pay a visit to Mikey’s brother’s grave. Mikey confronts Takemichi asking why Chifuyu is standing there instead of Baji and if Takemichi has a death wish. He asks him what he really wants.
