A new game from Bandai Namco is on the way! My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble was announced as a part of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 7 for 2022. While only some details about the game are out as of now, the gameplay trailer has some exciting details for the fans!
My Hero Academia or Boku no Hero Academia is a series by Horikoshi Kohei. The manga series began in 2014, which soon received an anime adaptation in 2016 that has grown to become immensely popular. The Shonen Jump release has built a huge fanbase.
The manga has 31 tankonbon volumes. The series is regarded as one of the best anime and manga series from the 2010s. The anime has a rating of 8/10 on My Anime List. My Hero Academia has had other games released preceding this which have also become popular releases, especially among anime-based video games franchises.

My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble Playable Characters, Gameplay and More
My Hero Academia’s new game release has only revealed a few things bout the upcoming game. One of the things that we know as of now includes the Battle Royale style gameplay and 24 playable characters from the My Hero Academia franchise that will be available. The Battle Royale format became wildly popular with titles like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Firestorm and many more!
The gameplay trailer has revealed some of the characters that will be open to players! These include Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, All Might, Shouto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, Mount Lady, Tomura Shigaraki and Dabi. Adding to the battle royale setup, the game will highlight the power system of the My Hero Academia Universe. All of the My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble characters come with their own set of quirks and therefore will offer a unique playing style.
The demo version of the game will be open with 12 playable characters. The game format will allow teams of 8 with characters having unique strengths and weaknesses along with a skill card mechanic that will allow players to upgrade their skills.
My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble Beta Sign Up Opening
My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble has been announced as a free-to-play game that will open up its beta registrations to players who would like to sign up for it. The closed beta seats are only available to citizens of Japan. The registration for the same will be open from January 17th to January 28th 2022 and are open only for PS4 and PS5. 10000 players are going to be selected at random from the applications by Bandai Namco Entertainment who will be notified of the same subsequently. The confirmation of selection for the closed beta should come in by January 31st.
My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble Release Date and Platforms
The beta game is set for release on February 2nd 2022 and the demo version will end on February 6th. The official release of the full version of the game is yet to be announced.
The full release of the game will be a multi-platform release! The new My Hero Academia game will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and lastly for PC via Steam.
The game has not been registered for pre-orders yet so the price listing for individual platforms, additional DLCs and other packages have not been added to the game details yet.
