The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf Movie available on Netflix

The Witcher is getting an anime movie titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf that will be releasing on Netflix in 2021! WitcherCon 2021 Virtual Event held on July 9th and 10th shared the first look for the film which will not be having Geralt of Rivia, our favourite Witcher from the School of the Wolf.

In a thrilling saga, the anime film titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will be a tale of Vesemir, Geralt’s teacher and the man closest to being Geralt’s father. This tale of a young Vesemir was brought to life by Studio Mir, a South Korean Animation Studio. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will be directed by Han Kwang II.

The official teaser for the anime film was released on July 22nd which shows snippets of a young Vesemir travelling through the Continent, monster-hunter and earning coin, you know the regular Witcher stuff. The Witcher fandom has expanded exponentially, beginning with the novels by Andrej Sapkovsky to getting its own video game franchise and a Netflix series.

A charming and fierce Vesemir takes on monsters you have seen in the game before – notable ones being a night wraith, a leshen, a werewolf and possibly a hoard of ghouls. The film will be using a lot of the elements that the game celebrates, including potions, the Silver Sword and the iconic medallion of the School of the Wolf. Vesemir will have allies in the show too, some of whom have been revealed in the teaser.

After a year of wait, the anime movie ‘Nightmare of the Wolf’ is available on Netflix from August 23, 2021. Netflix is on a spree to exploit 2D techniques so as to enrich its catalog of titles inspired by some famous console games.

Without Vesemir there would be no Geralt” justifies the sentiment of the prequel feature film. It will go into even more detail about the iconic protagonist of The Witcher saga. An unmissable opportunity waiting for the second season of the TV series scheduled to debut on Netflix in December.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf plot on Netflix says:
